Our love of quilting and the community extend beyond meetings and workshops. Each year we create a Raffle Quilt whose proceeds go to a local charity in the area. Our members make and distribute Community Quilts to various social service organizations. We support the arts in Prince William through our members’ volunteer work. We join the Cabin Branch Guild in Woodbridge in a variety of activities including an annual quilt show. In short, we share with all our love of the quilting arts and the wonderful effect a little time, caring, and attention can have on people’s lives.
Stone House is a relatively small and informal group with a keen interest in quilting. We hope you will find time to visit with us and, perhaps, join us. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or professional quilter, the guild will welcome you. We learn from each other and challenge ourselves to improve our skills. Quilting offers so many avenues for expression, a lifetime is not enough. So, we share many lifetimes and a broad spectrum of experience. Please feel free to visit with us and see for yourself
Our guild, located in historic Manassas, Virginia is a non-profit organization dedicated to the fellowship of quilting. We offer educational programs and workshops in various aspects of quilting. Our goal is to educate the public about this fine art, preserve its traditions, culture, history, and use our skills to benefit the community.
Guild members who wish to participate in the 2016 CBQ/SHQ Challenge will find information and instructions here.
